Every Friday morning I go to yoga and then have breakfast at the same spot. I’ve developed a good relationship with my yoga instructor and this morning she noted how much progress I made. At my breakfast spot, I had a nice chat with the staff there, who I’m friends with now! It’s so nice to have a little routine

yeah! I’ve finally lived in a place long enough where I don’t feel like a stranger everywhere I go.

This is especially nice with restaurants. I love catching up with the waiters or the maitre’d and it makes the eating out experience more jovial and relaxing at the same time (plus at least one small thing you get will be on the house if you’ve been going long enough)

i started going to a yoga class at a church because it's cheap and it works best with my schedule and sometimes i'm the only person in there under 50 or 60. the teacher is 70 and she does all the poses with us. everyone is super nice and the class is restorative and way gentler than the stuff i used to go to at the bouldering gym with planks and headstands and stuff. i feel safe and remember not to take my mobility for granted :)

My friend Amelia teaches yoga and every time I finish a class with her I’m on cloud nine. She teaches on Tuesday evenings at PAGEANT ;) and another spot in Ridgewood and maybe other spots around the city. I think her schedule changes so if you just follow her on Instagram she updates on there. It's for your health and your happiness!!

Kind of weird but my grandma’s basement always had that musty smell and my siblings and I used to run down to smell it the second we arrived. I miss it these days

On the upper west side, there’s big hills in riverside park that can’t be maintained by park gardeners, so the city houses goats on the hill in the summer. The goats keep the brush from overflowing and you can visit them!
