Frozen meat

I keep my freezer stocked with high quality frozen meat (& could probably live off of it for months), not in a "doomsday prepper" kind of way, but in a "lovingly thinking of my future self" kind of way. This way, I always have food to eat. When I see good meat on sale at the grocery store? Buy two. I get a good deal & I can pull something out the night before & let it thaw in the fridge for dinner. It's the best & I hope to reach the height of luxury one day that allows me to have a garage freezer for more storage. Yes, I'm from the Midwest.

my grocery must-haves ♡

i dont really like cooking so i get as many frozen microwave meals as possible, frozen salmon filets to cook in the oven, canned chickpeas, canned tuna, mayo, tomatoes, kale, some kind of deli meat to make sandwiches with, sandwich bread, at least 3 types of cheeses (usually parmesan, feta, and swiss), lentils, rice, pasta, some kind of pre-made sauce (vodka or pesto, i'm no good at making my own!!), broccoli, zucchini, coffee, milk (i get non-dairy but not for diet reasons im just terrified of spoiled milk), if im feeling extra motivated i will get eggs but im not typically a breakfast person, if im feeling fancy then some avocado and salad dressing. then i just try to make these groceries last as long as possible bc i also dont really like going to the grocery store...! also i go to trader joes

working up a good lather

the foaming soap dispenser has made the modern man weak and pacified. "give me the foam now, i need the foam," the masses cry, like sheep, unaware of the luxury they've sacrificed. a good lather from a proper bar of soap is like heaven- rich, emulsified, almost creamy. it glides across the skin and cleans like no other. the satisfaction after a few seconds lathering is worth the effort tenfold. don't let "big foam" take away our everyday moments of respite. insist on lathering up your own soap for the resistance
