Saturday looks good to me

I’ve been listening to this band on and off since finding them near the end of May, but everytime I come back I listen to at least an album in full. They sound like if a band with 90’s twee-pop lyrical prowess were dropped in the Brill Building and incorporated a surprising but welcomed dose of dub. RIYL: Beach Boys-style-orchestration worship, laying in the park and/or daydreaming about yr crush, music that lands in both easy- and active-listening camps comfortably.

Aerial (2018 Remaster)

this is an album I’ve found myself coming back to a lot recently. maybe because I think I like it, but I’m not 100% sure. it came out in 2005 but has a very late 90s sensibility about it. good mix of weird KB stuff and chill grooves/sappy melodic stuff.

Afrodisiac - The veldt

Discovered this album this summer and the band only has 17.8k monthly listeners even though their stuff is so good. Its from 1994 and has a taste of grunge but with some more psychadelic aspects (not quite sure how to describe them.) It really is such a good summer album. My favs off of it are Soul in a Jar, Until You're Forever, and Revolutionary Sister.

magic is real and i am full of love
