Whenever I’m trying to get to sleep, I’ll really close my eyes and try to stare as deep as I can.
Sometimes I think I can see faces, or an opening of light that reveals something I’m not supposed to be seeing, that then closes immediately.
Trying my best to avoid that hint of a face within the reflection and the blurry contortions of instinct and imagination that are just waiting to distort it.
This is a childhood fear that has stayed with me.
Like way down the street, or the other end of the train, all the way across the room. Try looking as far as you can. See what you can make out. Scrutinize, look with wonder, gaze romantically. Take the eyeballs for a spin

Was recently going through Mac Demarco’s demo albums and found that I loved the demos versions over some of the originals.
This also reminded me of deluxe albums that feature rough takes and demos. I’ve been loving the “Feel Flows” Super Deluxe.
