I got heavy into peaky blinders for a while. had a great time, but semi-consciously emulating a psychologically unhealthy protag didn’t do great things for me. Brassic is the same premise as PB but modern and plays out like if Tommy was more of a stoner and didn’t sacrifice relationships and went to therapy. It’s a wonderful, funny, quintessentially British experience of community, romance, the struggle to act well in the face of everyday struggles. It’s crime and healthy masculine friendships and I love it. does a great job of walking the line between realism and absurdity. Download a VPN and watch it on UK Netflix

Two great shows. One set in modern America, the other in Europe right after WWI. And the fashion for both were on point.

The Wire is a great choice. I remember the first season being my fav. I still need to finish Sopranos. From the list above highly recommend Narcos and Peaky Blinders

It’s so kitschy and fun. we’re all trying to get off the phones and it helps to make physical reality engaging doesn’t it? Plus it’s a great way to keep the little cousins busy when you get stuck at the kids table during the holidays. AND! bonus points for learning a flourish or two off youtube and improving your manual dexterity. No reasons not to
