Going online used to be an activity you sat down to and then could get up and walk away from. Now it’s some kind of panopticon that we’re connected to almost 24/7 that requires our constant availability and can demand our attention whenever it wants. We weren’t meant to be this online!!!!

and remembering the internet still actually is what it’s supposed to be: a superhighway of information and media. it’s not just a receptacle for social media platforms, but the platforms want you to forget that!!
