I think I can safely call this my favorite Neil Young album after a long On The Beach reign.
Even in a world of countless jam bands and Guided By Voices-esque lofi, it's hard to find something as rugged and organic as this album. The Google assist thesaurus tells me to call a person who's like this album a ruffian, thug, gorilla or yahoo. It's obviously very rumble tumble and not the soft country record a fan of Harvest might expect, but it's still an absolutely timeless piece of art that can easily take on rough records from any decade of rock music, whether that's alt-country and grunge records from the 90s or more revival-oriented music from today. Overall this album just never stops getting better, or at least it hasn't so far
