one of my favorite films from last year, great ensemble cast, the plot seems straightforward but the performances from everyone elevates the story

brilliant. beautiful and funny and heartwrenching and silly and all around fantastic. the more i think about this movie the more i love it. tells an unconventional tale of self-confidence, self-sabotage, regret and jealousy, etc etc the ending was a bit silly but i can look past it lol. what a fantastic cast and fantastic production. they frame things throughout as if it were to look like a stage production only for that to be the eventual main plot point. one of my favorite scenes (if not films) of the year

I was at the premiere of this at Sundance 2024 and it was 1) probably the best movie I saw at the fest. 2) one that stuck with me all year long despite (at the time) only watching it once. Watched it again last night and still love it. Hereโ€™s a pic from the cast Q&A at the premiere for cool points.

(2013, dir. James Ward Byrkit) This movie had no scriptโ€”the cast all had just a general page of notes & they improvised from there. One of my top fave films.

any sort or rice porridge- whether plain congee which is just rice cooked in water or arroz caldo, rice porridge with chicken (so kinda like a cross between porridge and chicken soup)

i am not new to pinterest but i only ever use it to browse through and save "inspo" for arts, design, aesthetics, etc. and i have never used it to post my own photos, that is until a few days ago. i still save photos/art for inspo but i like how the interface makes your photos look more fluid. instagram's square design looks too clinical, and limits the dimensions of photos and videos you could upload, unlike on pinterest where you could have combinations of media in varying sizes, and they fit in a puzzle kind of way, the feed looks much more relaxed and personalized.

the ultimate perk of living by yourself: you can eat cake with a fork without having to get a slice each time, just dig right into it. the benefits: (1) not having to clean a plate everytime you eat, you can even just leave a fork in it to use; (2) you can eat as much or as little as you want without having to measure the "right" slice; (3) the satisfying feeling of exercising your free will. this might seem mundane or gross or whatever, but hey, if it's just you at home nobody's gonna judge ๐Ÿ˜œ
