and you’re gonna get a TUTORIAL bc i struggled hard to learn how to do this a couple years ago (specific to ios and then windows but i’m sure it’s similar with other software)
also fair warning you do need like a cd/dvd reader to plug into your computer to actually burn the cd!!!
1. pick your songs!! can be any song off any platform - i usually do 10-15
2. screen record each song - like start recording, play the song start to finish, then trim it down the way you want
3. follow a youtube video on adding an audio conversion shortcut on your phone (gets the audio from the video and saves it as a file!) (see the link!) (also it’s really easy!)
4. save the file (should be just clicking the share sheet on your video then clicking the shortcut)
5. get your files on your computer somehow (i use dropbox)
6. open windows media player (there’s probably an equivalent on mac)
7. (most confusing bit imo) upload files by - organise > manage libraries > music > click folder > include folder
8. under the “burn“ tab on the right drag the songs you want (from music section) in order into the little empty space
9. plug in your cd reader with the cd in it (duh), click burn, and let it work it’s magic
10. decorate the cd case (i like to put a cute collage thing on the front, tracklist on the back, and a little envelope with a note in it on the inside)
11. give it to someone you think is cool and watch them melt bc cds are awesome

I hope this isn’t too late!
But yeah the playlist lets you personalise. The CD provides the playlist with a physical form you can give. And I don’t know about you but I like to collect paper/card scraps from magazines, brochures and packaging, which can be used to build a CD sleeve if you’re crafty.
I did this for a Secret Santa in my high school friend group and everyone said my Secret Santa-ee got the best gift >.<

Before I had unlimited data, I burned CDs to play in my car. I would save any song I loved onto a playlist, download it, burn it, create a collage CD cover in Photoshop, and print it onto card stock to keep in my car. I have at least twenty custom CDs. Themes on CDs included: Viscerally, Flow, "Run Away with Me", Strangeness, and Wistfulness. For my friend's birthdays, I would burn a CD with a list of the songs, including what each song meant to me and how that song connected to my friends. I love making the covers.

mum called to tell me about this today, but it’s basically a 24/7 livestream that goes for 20 DAYS that films moose migrating north in sweden!!!!! it’s from a bunch of different camera angles, and even when there’s no moose it’s still lovely to watch. i did freak when i saw my first moose though. AND THERES A LOT OF MOOSE! it’s really awesome and moose are really awesome and it’s FREE! 1 billion/10 recommend

i have like a bazillion collection of things (eg jellycats, wishing stones, goosebumps books), but my ceramic frogs are by far the collection i adore the most. i will NEVER take up an opportunity to buy a ceramic frog. LOOK HOW AWESOME
