Winters are a depressing, polluted sludge in my new city, every day for weeks has just been drab and gray. The first sparks of sunlight hitting me as I just switched to working from home and these good signs are filling me with hope!

So I moved to one of the cloudier cities in the US and I relish in winter. (my tip for you: many warm-toned lamps, not too bright and not too dim… some with shades and some can lights maybe that you can point at the wall or a nice Tiffany style torchiere)

the sun has finally exited its week-long hiatus in the clouds where i live and the light has made me look at the world with the eyes of a giddy child. wherever you are, if you see those precious sunbeams streaming out of clouds, absorb that precious vitamin d and feel like a completely different creature during these odd cold months

I truly am a better person when it’s sunny and nice out. In my last few days here in Boston, i am soaking up the sun and getting a lot of good reading in. Enjoy a lovely pic of the commons

I change my lock screens regularly, with different ones set to different focus modes. But this one is my main one this month and it’s an embrace of the weather getting better and my desire to spend more time outside.

i will talk your ear out for so so many things, if I feel like click and you’d be interested. - The history of stuff/ideas/the way things are is my go to, I know way too much and love to share. -Video Games - the culmination of all the arts, unique interaction, the perfect way to express an idea, thought, wish, concept... - How dumb the world is, how bad our Overton window has shifted, how derioudly we take life…

Mine have stayed consistent for about 4 years now. I will show American psycho to everyone I know and gauge their reaction. Do they feel like this is a good representation of their life? Dp they focus on the sex and horror? Do they get the time period and jokes? Do they want to be Patrick Bateman? All very important questions. Inglorious bastards is the most enjoyable movie you could watch. A serious of tense conversations that end in almost everyone dying and most of them are nazis. Absolutely perfect. Under the silver lake is a weird one. I love the movie for what it’s trying to do and don’t fault it for not succeeding. I watch it every year around this period, just before the summer heatwave. It is an essential LA summer, conspiracy noir movie that has more good ideas than expectation. It still represents me perfectly. Hot Fuzz is a new entry on the list, I’ve seen it a long time ago and loved it but just recently rewatched it and realized it’s everything I love. People going on with a system that doesn’t really serve them, petty small town politics, taking your life too seriously, fucking up and it not really mattering, the importance of friendship and tearing everything down. Absolutely lovely.
