really great slow wholesome watching a dude in the woods refurbishing this amazing boat. love the letter writing format and the scale of this project. how long it's going to take and going along with him. very calming and peaceful and deliberate. could not recommend enough

I swear to god nothing will brute force me into relaxation faster than watching some youtube video of an old man building something in his garage that he’s built 100 times before. I don’t care if it’s a chair or a guitar or if he’s whittling. I have always been so bad at making things with my hands so maybe that’s part of the appeal but listening to someone ramble/reminisce/explain in an experienced and informed way about their craft while making something beautiful gets my immediate focus every time. They don’t have to be men but they do have to be old and it helps if they seem like they would be mad grumpy if they weren’t thoroughly disarmed by their passion for creation.

oh my godd i love this channel so much. its been my YouTube sleepytime channel for like 6 months now, its like MTV cribs for weird old men who build beautiful off-grid houses. full ted kaczynski mode. one day i will join them inshallah

This guy is a dork (but kinda in a good way) he is pretty handsome and is building a nice cabin under harsh conditions. Puts a lot of effort into his vids and drops a lot of cabin knowledge as he is learning as he goes. Beautiful button pass cabin coming together tho, he’ll have the roof on before you know it!
