going to the bar. making conversation with people you barely know. asking someone “can i ask you a personal question?”. make bits with strangers. the love is out there if you look for it
one of my coworkers will start convos with “you can tell me to shut the fuck up, but can i ask you a personal question?” and that’s how we became best friends 🖤
whenever i’m waiting in line, or walking next to someone, i love to try start a conversation. just say hi, try to make some small talk and see what happens. sometimes its awkward, but sometimes we really hit it off. its scary at first but ive found im always glad i did it. usually i don’t even get their name - its just nice getting to know someone
someday they will be gone and you won’t be able to ask them the questions you have. deal with the awkward formality of it and just ask them things that never came up naturally. what did your grandpa think of his dad? what was your parents first date like???
