probably sounds obvious but for me i find just looking around and noticing things / details, walking around without any distractions and keeping an open mind, helps me take photos. there have also been many times in which i wish i had taken a photo but hesitated and now the photo lives in my mind forever !

i find sometimes that i ignore my intuition and skip out on documenting a space, item, or moment that i find intriguing. but taking a step back, taking the picture, taking the video, you’ll walk away happier, you’ll look back and think “oh! thats the day i saw that beautiful flower” or “that’s the location i wanted to use in a short film!”

been trying to work on a new project/photoseries that is more street style, meaning i need to bring my camera with me everywhere now. unironically, constantly being behind a lens or just thinking about what to shoot next has made me feel so much more present and observational. my head has been on a constant swivel and ive been so much more motivated to walk everywhere and explore places i previously didnt question

if you step outside, even for 5 minutes, 10 minutes...u don't know what lies out there!! the things u might miss!! i almost always regret not taking my camera places even if it seems like nothing exciting will happen. this being said i don't leave my house very often so it is extra important to take it when i do (trying to be better at going outside....) highly recommend just pointing at things and hoping for the best. but also planning a photo is good too. all photo taking is good. i love capturing a moment in time here r some examples of my photo taking. share yours too :o)
