Meaningless Connections

School sucks obviously, but I miss when simply knowing someone in science class made them a friend. Didnt need deep complex understand in relationships, just needed people to tell me my ideas for new sandwiches were good. Looking back I considered almost everyone I went to school with a friend even if the sentiment wasn’t shared. Adulthood made casual relationships almosy impossible, near strangers can’t be my friend anymore :(

might be the capitalism 😔

Capitalism thrives off bootstrap thinking and sink or swim ideology, either you do it without support or you deserve to sink. And that has long escaped into our social spheres of “if you can’t help yourself you deserve it” But we are social and communal creatures who only got this far with community. People need help, and you’re gonna need help at some point too. It’s scary to put yourself out there but life will hurt either way.
