Something fairly easy, but super delicious and rewarding to eat. (Cutting into fun shapes is necessary) I used 3 cups water, 2 1/2 cups of vinegar, 2 tsp of salt, and 2 tsp of sugar for the brine. (I like mine a bit on the sweeter side, but I’ve heard sugar is optional) The fun part is the customization of what veggies you want in there. My choice was cucumber, radish, daikon, red onion, and carrot. The final touches to help with flavoring were garlic, pepper corn, dill, and Thai chilis. (highly recommend the chilis if you like a lil spice) I wonder what combo I‘ll try next.

yum yum yum (bonus points if you needed 2 radishes for a recipe but they only came in huge bunches from the farmers market therefore pickling becomes a necessity to avoid food waste. mmmmmm that’s the good stuff.)

They are literally sooo funny. I listen/watch them while I’m washing the dishes, folding laundry, or working out, and I swear it makes doing chores 10x better and goes by faster. They are hilarious while still being relatable and respectful <3

This is partially inspired by an anti-rec I saw on here and a conversation with a friend. Lol I’m here to defend gift cards as a gift! I seriously love them! I grew up in a not so financially stable household and I’m still in my mid twenties, so spending anything literally on myself that’s not groceries or housing, I feel guilty for! So when my boss, after a conversation we had about how I like going to the movies for fun, got me a movie theater gift card for Christmas, I was actually so hyped. Movie theater tickets are expensive and sometimes not in my budget, but she granted me that experience without any doubt. It was so fun. I took my partner and his little sister. Another example, my friend is an athlete and loves getting massages and trips to the chiropractor so she loves getting gifted a gift card to those clinics. Another example, I told my sister that my “down bad” meal was Mendocino Farms. I would order it everytime I was having a bad day. We’re besties and couldn’t hang out cause of living in different cities. If she were to get me a gift card to Mendocino Farms, I would’ve literally cried. It would’ve showed that she cared for me, even at my lowest. Another example, I have a friend who has to commute to work and tends to eat out often. He says chipotle is his favorite and is aligned with his training/diet. So naturally, he was happy when he got gifted a chipotle card. Of course a general target/visa gift card is wack, but a gift card with context? ;) *chef’s kiss* At the end of the day, gifts are lovely and it always matters about intent!
