Had the choice to buy a car with automatic transmission (which would have been the easier, comfortable option since I've only ever driven this type of car) or a manual one. Chose the option that made my life a little more difficult but I taught myself how to drive it and just drove myself to work for the first time today. The amount of pride and accomplishment I felt was so worth the hassle. GET OUTSIDE OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE!
The only way to learn to drive stick is to drive stick! Congratulations on taking the difficult option and succeeding!
Now that I think about it, learning to drive a manual is a great example of a growth mindset. I remember after doing it every day for a month I realized I didnโt have to think about it anymore. Every mistake teaches something and the feedback is immediate.
I still avoid steep hills, though, 24 years later!
Idk where you can learn this these days but I recommend it if you have access to a manual car. Itโs sexy and fun and you feel like youโre more in tune with the car or truck.
Why don't you know how to drive a manual car? Why don't you know how to ride a moped and a motorcycle? It doesn't matter if you own them but you should know how to safely ride/drive them. It's a life skill. It's not even difficult and the skills are even transferrable. I learnt car and bike simultaneously and the more I used one, the easier it was to understand the other one.
Learn driving everyone. It's an essential skill and it's even fun. Manual is not difficult AT ALL.
Hate it when i'm made to leave a beautiful sunset spot before the end. Don't half-ass it and stay until the end . especially if it is as good as this one (location: San Jose del Pacifico, Oaxaca, Mexico)
