Put things where you’ll actually use them and have that be their “home”. That way you don’t have to go out of your way to get something and put it back. I only like to use my foot cream when I’m in bed because I don’t like walking around with moisturised feet. So I keep the foot cream at my bedside table even though the rest of my toiletries and skincare are in a basket in the bathroom make your space work for you and dont disturb your natural path :)

this is a recent trick i’ve adopted, and it’s made it so much easier to keep things organized. which makes my brain feel lighter. probably has something to do with the fact that if you’ve put cleaning off once, you’re more likely to again. also it’s just disrupting to come home to a messy room. so welcoming when clean! (huge fan of the word girlsqualor tho)

organize and pack everything by what room they go in even if similar things are separated (ex: living room books don’t go with bedroom books, bathroom jewelry doesn’t go with bedroom jewelry) so that you can just unpack one room at a time instead of having things from multiple rooms in one box and then having to bounce around to unpack it. much less chaotic this way and easier to see progress/feel productive.

The bathroom door is a given and very liberating, walk out the shower naked? You'll feel SO SO SO sexy as time goes on! If the space allows, buy a little tatami mat, it's where I put extra throw pillows or blankets, and laying on the floor is so soothing, take a nap there, it'll change your life. The dance zone is for when you're doing chores, it doesn't have to be a dedicated area but intentionally creating a route you can dance around like Cameron Diaz in her underwear in Charlie's angels is SO liberating too. Create your own kitchen system, tweak it as you work, and don't worry about aesthetics, the most efficient cookware and how you can pivot in your kitchen always takes priority over looks.
