Her sound has been described as “fearless”, “haunting”, “cathartic”, and “seductive”, “–both orchestral and grunge”. Growing up in a car with her mother and sister, Aliya entered music as a means of survival and escape. With a passion for collaboration and interdisciplinary art, Aliya has participated in countless projects including regular appearances with Poncili Creacion (Theater and Puppet Collective - Puerto Rico), The Heart of The Beast (Puppet Theater - Minneapolis, MN), and Yohsiko Chuma’s School of Hardknocks (Performance Collective - NYC). As an improviser, Aliya is found at the cross section of all things working with legendary bandleaders such as John Lurie of the Lounge Lizards, Douglas Ewart of the Art Ensemble of Chicago, and composer-performer Tyshawn Sorey to name a few. Her latest album produced by master Randall Dunn features herself and six close friends in a avant-garde rock trip under the name Seven Times Infinity. https://youtu.be/33gyNc925_Y Ross Lewicki: By thirteen, Ross had composed and produced two full-length albums, arranging for piano, bass, drums, guitar, and a full horn section. He earned a full scholarship to Arizona State University, graduating in 2015 with a BA in Jazz Piano Performance. On February 22, 2024, Ross performed at The Stone at the New School alongside Aliya and Taiga Ultan, leading to the formation of Eggshells, a collaborative trio that explores experimental improvisation and textural soundscapes. Their debut full-length album was recorded and released in December 2024, further cementing Ross’s reputation as a forward-thinking artist pushing the boundaries of contemporary jazz. Currently based in New York City, Ross remains active as a performer, composer, and educator. He can be seen performing solo and with various ensembles across the city, continually expanding his artistic vision. - Will Hayes: also touring from NY Will Hayes is a composer and guitarist based in New York City. His solo baritone guitar work delivers a uniquely estranged interpretation of American music: austere tone poems that integrate low-guitar influences from country, cold-wave and extreme metal; haunted by an array of electronic sound design. Hayes has performed on acclaimed albums and film soundtracks including on Jóhann Jóhannsson’s award-winning score to Panos Cosmatos’ cult horror film Mandy (starring Nicolas Cage), and has worked with Myrkur, Randall Dunn, Wolves in the Throne Room, Zola Jesus, Stephen O’Malley (Sunn O)))), Trey Gunn (King Crimson), and Wayne Horvitz. Cincinnati's best kept secret, and best band (with a shout-out to Fruit LoOops, a very close runner up) -but Lashes packs so much power into such a small package (drum and base/vocals duo). Link has some tracks, though seeing them live, for the rare times they play out, is a must.
