swan lake op. 20, act 2: no. 10 by tchaikovsky- the deep horns and drums actually make my soul rise out of my body and i get insane goosebumps when i was done dying by dan deacon- the instrumentals are so cool and i just love finding unique songs that scratch my brain kaval sviri (the flute plays) by the bulgarian state tv female choir- the dissonance is so beautiful and it’s captured my heart since i found a random youtube video of a performance several years ago. sweet disposition by temper trap- this may be cliche but this song actually has defined how i want my early adult life to be. it’s the soundtrack to getting drunk with friends and running through downtown, it plays when i’m hiking and i see the mountain view for the first time, i hear it when i kiss my partner and when i ride my bike really fast and when i get a dream job offer and it will play at my wedding and at my funeral.

I live in Chicago! Depending on where you're staying, there's a bunch of cool things to do as Chicago is a city of neighborhoods. Wicker Park and Logan Square are popular neighborhoods to check out and they're on the cheaper end. California Clipper, Rainbo Club, and Common Decency are bars that are worth checking out. I know that Common Decency has a happy hour 4-6pm 7 days a week. If you're into movies, check out the Music Box Theatre! It's a 95 year old arthouse movie theatre in the Southport Corridor/Lakeview neighborhood that shows independent and second run films. Speaking of Lakeview, Clark Street is pretty popular if you're going to check out Wrigley Field! There are bars up and down the block so you won't need to walk far to find a place to drink at for cheap. If you need any more ideas or recommendations, let me know!
