It’s really nothing crazy but it was probably one of the first lesbian rom coms I watched and I fell in love with it!! I might even consider it one of my comfort movies 🍿

Beautiful old movie [1934] that seems to be the blueprint for a lot of commonly used tropes throughout later media. (Enemies to lovers, pretending to be a couple, class / status division, forced proximity, etc.) It’s very fun, very cute, and I very much recommend to anyone in need of a movie to watch

underrated mid 90s sapphic film from dir. Maria Maggenti. authentic👏as👏fuck👏. this unbelievably sweet coming of age flick offers lighthearted queer hilarity with the perfectly tolerable dose of romance. TITAOTGIL is truly a gem that leaves overplayed queer tragedy tropes in the trash (where they belong!!!) and surprisingly holds up considering its age. definitely a deep cut for-the-gays™️, but a valuable watch for anyone who enjoys silly and innocent fun <3

I never hear anyone talk about this one! I think my mom bought this from a $5 DVD bin but it just ended up in my house one day as a kid and it‘s my favorite rom com ever — ridiculous story but INSANELY good sound track that are still some of my favorite songs ever (e.g. Cigarettes & Coffee by Otis Redding but also Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots) and Isla Fisher being one of my favorite depictions of a manic pixie dream girl maybe ever. And sweet bb Abigail Breslin. Oh and Rachel Weisz.

- Beetles cannot see very well, so they communicate using pheromones, sounds or vibrations. - Some beetles are not considered pests - Beetles have special mandibulate mouthparts, which can be used to chew anything from plants to other insects, and even dead mammals. In fact, the word ‟beetle” is thought to come from bitela, which is Old English for little biter - Thick, hardened front wings, called elytra, cover most of the beetle's body and its back wings offer great protection. Some are able to trap moisture under their wings, helping them survive in deserts where water is scarce. Others can live underwater because they are able to trap air under the elytra
