My favorite was Rebecca by Daphne de Maurier. Itโ€™s a classic but not boring at all.

Iโ€™ve just finished The Awakening by Kate Chopin. At first, I can admit I was a bit tired of the constant repetitive descriptions of New Orleans scenery but, the last few chapters really caught me. Itโ€™s a fantastic analysis of the female desire to be free of societal standards. Great early feminist work.

There are so many ways to do it and none of the cuts need to be equal.
