Iโve just finished The Awakening by Kate Chopin. At first, I can admit I was a bit tired of the constant repetitive descriptions of New Orleans scenery but, the last few chapters really caught me. Itโs a fantastic analysis of the female desire to be free of societal standards. Great early feminist work.
