it just makes sense… sound if out if your confused (the spelling error just adds a -ly to the end of genuine)

occasion, occasionally

i think basically all the words i misspell have double letters in the middle - i constantly spell things off like: embarass, ocasion/occassion, occurence, reccomend, accomodate, etc. i generally know my own habitual misspellings now though so i’ll usually catch them after i write something and correct it before sending (i keep autocorrect off)
