it took me until the pandemic - where i had no reason to straighten my hair - to really love my curls for what they are. Me and my microfiber towel against the world. Now when I do my hair, i feel like its more on my terms - when I want to change it up or feel a little extra polished - and not because I feel like I have to. Life changing.

exactly!! having curly hair is simultaneously so fun and so exhausting, it looks bad 2 days post wash for me despite all my efforts 💔 i always tell myself i'll straighten it permanently but at the end of the day i jus can't. yes it's annoying but it's my duty to embrace it (much like any other thing i dont like abt my appearence actually)

Love this! I’ve had ringlets since childhood and I think when I was younger and I didn’t know how to take care of it, it could be a little more annoying but I’ve always loved it and said I thought I would look like “normal SpongeBob ” without my curls. Curls are so beautiful and they give character!! Especially now that we have so many more curly hair products available. I do occasionally get jealous of girls who can do certain hairstyles I can’t though, like when I see the videos of people using those hair pin stick things?? SO cool.
