winter to me tastes like carmex classic medicated lip balm & sunscreen. takes me back to high School when I wore it nonstop. Maybe the lowest years of my life but itās nice to connect to that me I was before. & this shit literally cures chapped lips in like minutes ill never use anything else. I donāt like flavors either so this one specifically rlly does it for me. its got this kind of grandmotherly, earthy camphor tree scent which i love

šmy grandma used to use this medicated drug store lip balm that had a very medicated smell to it and i didnt love it but after she passed i found myself buying it here and there just to get closer to her in some way shape or form

While that rosebud salve is absolutely divine, some of its mystique has faded into the oblivion of my childhood.Ā However,Ā Vaseline has now put out a rose flavored vaseline in a mini vaseline box.Ā It smells deeply erotic.Ā And you have to plunge your finger into this rose flavor goop to apply directly onto your face. Sensuality!Ā Ā The rose fragrance is really well synthesized. It whisks you away to working class glamor like the 20s or somethingā¦. If you get it you get it- if you donāt you donāt!!!!!!Some French guy once told me rose scented stuff smells like bathroom cleaner. He couldnāt be more wrong. Fragrance is classically one of the many French/ American divides. The fact is in America, we are overwhelmed with complicated fragrances for cleaning products, candles, and lip balms. Were inundated with Dr Pepper flavors , Coconut passion, Strawberry Attitudesā¦ Vaseline is presupposing and imagining a land far far agoā¦ where choices were specific, simple and deeply erotic.
