I thought Poor Things by Alasdair Gray was a good book. Also, Out of Love by Hazel Hayes. it's a love story told starting at the break up. I'm reading Who cooked the last supper by Rosalind Miles currently and quite enjoying it.

Just finished my most recent read, Cursed Bread by Sophie Mackintosh. The book is described as a sapphic mysteryyy horror???kinda? but it’s mostly just a VERY horny woman who is so down bad for her neighbors. I really loved the way that the author described the mcs emotions, everything was so descriptive and I really felt for her. Other than that it was all just pretty lackluster, an easy short read to bulk up your shelf. 3.1/5!

Currently working my way through Emily Henry's bibliography and having a blast. If you wanna read sth slightly more highbrow then Id maybe suggest Normal People? Not necessarily a happy book but, to me, itfeels comforting. Also could definitely recommend children's books when you are looking for stories with happy endings
