go to your local farmers market or wherever you can get loose leaf tea and get black tea, cardamom, cinnamon sticks, star anise, black pepper, cloves, bishops weed (or fennel bc it’s more common) and some ginger and throw into a pot with some water and add your milk of choice to taste. strain then serve it with some biscuits or leave it in the fridge for on the go iced chai.

...can't get a decently strong version in Taiwan, but when I'm home it's always, always chai. My favourite version uses fresh ginger, a ton of spices and milk and tea boiled overnight (the one done over woodfire is elite).

whenever i’m away from this app i’m like… I have nothing to post.
