🥘
very easy with no pressure, just get everything ’salady’ that you like, chip it up, mix it together and there you have it.

Order a salad with ingredients you know you like and maybe try to recreate that bad boy at home. No lettuce needed. One of my favorite salads is just cucumber, tomato, avocado, and a quick dressing of sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar and furikake, for reference. Or add some kale and switch out the dressing for a red wine vinegar/balsamic situation. Maybe add some cheese you have sitting around. Go insane

With the right building blocks, you can get away with making the same dish in different variations. In your case, making a version of an open-face sandwich with diverse toppings can be a good low effort option. STEP 1: Select carb vehicle (sourdough/rye toast, crackers, pita bread, tortilla(s), lavash etc.)
STEP 2: Add spreads (hummus, grainy mustard, mayo, cream cheese, labneh/plain greek yogurt, bbq sauce– whatever floats your boat)
STEP 3: Layer roasted veggies (two options) 👇 Option 1– Buy pre-chopped veggies of your liking (zucchini, peppers and onions are amazing when roasted), toss with some olive oil, season with salt and pepper/other seasonings and roast in your oven for 30-40 mins at 375ºF or until slightly charred and soft. Option 2– Most asian grocery stores have food bars with cooked veggies. Buy a combo that is loaded with veg and use those vegetables for meal prepping. STEP 4: Add protein (roast beef, smoked salmon, grilled chicken, spam, canned tuna or whatever other low-effort, pre-cooked protein you prefer)
STEP 5 (optional): Add any extra toppings/garnishes (pickled onions, beets, furikake, sesame seeds, toasted nuts... I'm sure there's more I could list, but my brain is drawing a blank atm)
Enjoy! Hope this gives you some inspo :)

Log off Amazon prime and step into the real world. Go to a local physical store in your community. Look your neighbor in the eye and put money in their hand.
Go to a local venue and hear what musicians in your community are creating. Talk to them about it afterwards. Buy a T-shirt or cd or whatever they’re selling, they’ll make more money from that than from thousands of streams. Seriously, Spotify pays a fraction of a penny per stream.
Forget about Starbucks. Check out a local coffee shop instead. Learn your barista’s name and tip them.
Go to your local book store and library. Look around and see what book covers catch your eye. Ask employees for recommendations instead of just reading whatever’s trending on #booktok.
Go to your local museums, farmers market, theaters, restaurants, whatever your community has going on.
When you go local, you see your community in a new way. You make friends and feel more connected to the people around you.
You will discover new things organically instead of relying on an algorithm. You keep your money circulating in your community instead of making billionaires richer. You will have a greater appreciation for where you live.
