a Fundamentally flawed film in its awkward dialogue, pacing and arguably whole concept. however there is just something about it thatβs so special β the uncanny nature of the practical/CGI effect combination, the childish portrayal of the monsters, the magical realism / coming of age crossover (never been a more goated genre combo).
put this on and vibe out, maybe have a cry on behalf of your childhood self, listen to animal collective after.
