Difficult though it may be for the old vanguard to accept, I believe most if not all vital innovation in the jam band format is coming from the industrial electronic musical sector.
Autechre are a great example of one such band who - late in their careers - have released dozens of hours of improvisatory and fresh takes on old material performed live and categorized by the year and city in which the performances took place.
These recordings are then - of course - fawned over and endlessly analyzed by obsessive devotees and electro-hippie freaks who collect, distribute, and bootleg them along with whatever other unreleased or previously unknown material they can independently gather.
It is, as ever, a brave new world, and change is confusing, but if you listen with an open mind you’ll surely find yourself entranced by Autechre’s Psycho-Electronic Experimentations …. Peace and Love✌️

depending on the day of the week, (usually a random wednesday on which i feel the more ravenously coveted releases of SAW vol. 1&2 can be overlong and at times unwieldy), drukqs is to me the most evocative distillation of aphex’s predilection for acid-break brutalizations and madcap sonic textures.
it is, somehow, one of the albums i return to most and yet one of the last i’d ever recommend to a sane individual — and ironically, one of the worst to listen to while stoned. i can’t vouch for it enough

I love Draft 7.30! I don’t give a fuck! It’s so good!! It’s like if you listen hard enough you can find fleeting suggestions of several other songs threatening to pool through the cracks at any moment. She’s no Confield, sure, but an obtuse delight all its own. Shygirl circa 2017 would’ve known what to do with this beat I know somebody hears what I’m getting at

there is little more british than grave robbing i’m not sure what to tell you. as for the appeal, consider the innate proclivities towards divadom endemic to homosexuality… ahhh yes. my mother (biological) put me onto the first of many mothers (figurative). used to plug in another controller and let me convince myself i was doing shit. her cone bra built nations. i thought i was going to be a game designer before anything else. she’s the beyoncé of video games and her IP holders need to remember that

I have a miserable relationship with my corporeal form but very little else in the world can cut through that like singing does. It’s a such a physical and embodied practice, forces you to be so present within yourself but so free. At its best it feels like flying and at its worst it provides the impetus for self improvement. It’s one of the only things I love doing just for me. Which feels ironic somehow
