La Chimera has amazing cinematography, great lighting, etc. Itโs done everything right. Something about the washed out color palette is so pleasing. The part I like the most is the depiction of an Italy thats not perfect like Tuscany or Lake Como. Itโs so real and beautiful despite being more industrial and less glam than what youโd expect.
Il Gattopardo (1963โ I differentiate because Netflix is releasing a new adaptation next month) has costumes to die for. Itโs rural, itโs dramatic, itโs very special.
