- (at least when replying to an ask) recs whitescreen and I canā€™t see what im typing (could be theme-related? doesnt occur when editing) - trying to open ā€œcategoriesā€ on search page crashes app - image uploads seem to be wonky / non-persistent at times? - whole app feels slow / laggy; accidentally posted the same rec like 6 times bc ā€œsubmit responseā€ ui flow was unresponsive, need to refresh ask to see my response under it, loading recs under an ask can take a lot of time / a couple of tries for them to load made sure to check I wasnā€™t behind a version or something, not sure if other people are hitting this as well but observed the above in the last ~24 hours

At first I chalked it up to my phone because I had low storage and she can be slow sometimes. But it's been persistent. More specifically after I hit submit on a comment or share on a post it takes a minute to actually post it and exit that drafting screen. When I click the buttons at the bottom to switch tabs (from home to notifs or to search) it takes a few seconds between pressing the button and switching the tab. Also just loading screens in general. If I'm scrolling through friends or everyone it will sometimes not load posts after a certain number of posts. It just scrolls into a black screen. If I wait long enough sometimes it will load the post meant to be there. I'm not sure what type of information is helpful but I know you said to try to be detailed so this is my experience lately. Not sure if it's like this for everyone.

I'm unable to view full responses, the text gets cut off (pic attached). I'm also not able to reply to comments right now. Either I can't type it at all or the submit button doesn't go. Also, clicking on notifications sometimes brings up an error message and I have to try a few times to open the post. Thanks P.I team! :)

a treatise on the attention economy - checked it out on libby and got through it over the course of a work day, a lot of really interesting social and cultural explorations about how time itself is the final frontier of hypercapitalism and what decommodification of our attention and time should look like the book starts with a story about the oldest redwood tree in oakland and how the only reason itā€™s still standing is bc itā€™s unmillable, and how being uncommercializable is essential to our survival. it ends with an exploration of alt social media platforms (mostly p2p ones) and what keeping the good parts of the social internet and rejecting the bad ones should look like all in all a super valuable read; my only nitpick with the book is that odell isnā€™t just charting the attention economy but also attempting to ā€œsolveā€ it and relate it back to broader concepts about labor and social organizing, but her background is in the arts which leads to some really wonderful references to drive the points home while also missing some critical racial + socioeconomic analyses that one would expect (or at least really appreciate) from the book she promises to deliver in the introduction. but this does also make the book easier to read which is good because everyone should definitely engage with what she has to say will definitely be revisiting
