Telling service workers “have a great day” and “thank you”

I’ve seen so many people be straight up assholes to service workers. They shaking and moving just like you, throw out a quick thank you or have a great day. Who knows how many times a day they have to deal with someone either ignoring them or being jerks. Even if you’re not feeling it hit them with one of these. Goes a long way.

i’ve always done this ever since i can remember (thanks to my mum for raising me with good manners) and workers always seemed overly pleased to hear it and i always wondered why - now that i work in retail i completely understand their gratitude, i get about 80% rude customers so the sweet polite ones always stand out and make my day !!!

After starting as a service worker I've started to say "have a great day" and "thank you" even more lmao, I've actually started to become a recognised customer by other stores and it feels nice to be nice even when the day's been mid

I still say thank you as well but I want people to know I truly appreciate what they did/are doing… like it means so much 🫂today I complemented a random stranger on his twin peaks shirt and all he said was i appreciate it! Which is beautiful everyone should appreciate the little things 🌀💭or when customers tell me they appreciate me like…. Yuppp!!😁😁

replace “Thank you” with “Appreciate ya” in conversation

Goes a long way, and makes the other person feel great. Try it.

I have no context at all but I love it. Feels like I’m missing out but that’s alright it’s just good to hear somebody having a big ol belly laugh and enjoying this shit while we’re breathing.
