my partner’s cat is named Morel but I often call her Scrunchie because she is small and round. When she’s being sweet I call her Teaspoon because she’ll cuddle with us (big spoon, little spoon, teaspoon) <3
any variation on the theme is the name of the street cat that lives by my friend’s place. any time there’s a group of folks hanging out in their back yard he comes over and does the rounds, usually picking a stranger’s lap to be his dedicated throne for the evening. this is me paying the scritches tax a few months ago but he was hanging out snatching turkey scraps at our friendsgiving last night. scrongly is a beautiful name for a cat.
