It's Aleksander :] I am transgender so i changed my name (a few times actually). At the start I had some "rules" to choose a name: 1. It should be italian (i am italian, i didn't want to stand out) 2. It should be long and have nicknames (i like nicknames) 3. It shouldn't be religious (i am an atheist and i didn't like to have a name associated with god) 4. It should have a cool meaning (i like names' etymology) In the end i chose Stefano, but it didn't feel like me at all. I always liked Alessandro as a name, but i felt like i knew too many people with that name (like.... 5), so i looked up the variations and Aleksander stand out. Aleksander means "defender of men", and i like to add "in a gay way" for fun. I also chose Hermes as a second "unofficial" name, so i ended up disregarding like almost half of the rules. lmao.

like street performances or people busking on the subway - all kinds of people with all kinds of instruments and sounds. free live concerts in public spaces too! recently i was in awe of this very talented trio at delancey-essex st who were tap dancing, drumming, and DJing. i’ve seen them there more than once and they always look like they’re having so much fun!! a couple months ago i passed by the big post office across penn station and there was literally a jazz band set up with a few audience seats and everything? it was wonderful. and once in paris, i was walking over the seine and a man was playing the violin so beautifully, and it felt like i was in a movie! i really love music and i love when people perform it in public, it is definitely a reminder that life can be so beautiful
