10/10 my favourite ever album. i love her and this record so much. it meant so much to me 4 years ago, and it means just as much now. i hope it will still mean a lot to me in the future. i’ve now officially seen ms crookes so im qualified to speak on skin 🙏🏼

been playing this album in full a lot recently amidst all the other mishmosh i’ve been listening to…i can best describe it as something that makes me feel like an older, maybe slightly healthier skins character…very frank lyrically, very gritty production wise.

thank you yazz for reminding of this album… i’ve been meaning to listen to it ever since i heard “IWR” on the very last episode of my friend’s college radio show, more than two years ago. now, i am laying on my floor, blissfully stoned, mouth agape in candle-lit darkness absolutely in awe of this masterpiece of music.
every single song feels so intimate, each sound, each word amplified and layered on top of the other, like cake, a sonic confection that makes your heart smile a lot (and your teeth hurt a little) with every bite you take. this album tries to do a lot, and in doing so, becomes irreplaceable. i can’t wait to see what they do next.
(also “IWR” is still one of the best songs literally ever!!!! yup)

this is easily the best album of 2024 for me! i‘m a relatively new fan, since 2021, hut nonetheless i’ve come to expect excellence from these lads, and my god, did they deliver. 9/10 album for me, with my favourite song being the lead single, starbuster. i was lucky enough to see them live this year and again next year with kneecap (😝) which is set to be an unforgettable gig!
