😵I work at coffee shop w a drive thru and its actually astonishing how many people are watching reels or full on TV episodes while driving 💀Are their brains truly that rotted that they cannot go a single second without consuming some form of media?!?! Some will actively be scrolling while the phone is propped on the dashboard. I've seen it out in the wild too... so dangerous and stupid it blows my mind and I see it wayyyyy too often 👎🏻booooo

📱I loathe short-form videos (tik-tok, IG reels, etc.). Every time I'm lured into watching one, I feel like I'm stuck in an episode of black mirror or starring in a clockwork orange. I can feel my attention span getting chiseled away with every vacuous second - and don't even get me started on the endless echo of copies and references.

I do enjoy perusing TikTok but I rebel in the following ways:
-reporting every video using a child as content -saying every single ad is ”unpleasant” -saying “not interested” on anyone who has “SAHM“ or “2025 bride” or “boy mom” in their name (this is just because I find it so fucking annoying) (wait is this somehow internalized misogyny?) -blocking anyone that is hot just to be hot and not offering anything else of value… get that bag i guess but not from meeeee
