I’ve never done it but I just got a standing ovation in the group chat for my portrayal of a tearful voicemail my friend received from her ex after a breakup in 2019 and painstakingly transcribed; then I did an encore performance of a dramatic reading of an offensive forum post she made when she was 11. so like idk if can’t be that hard

Pretty sure I won't be getting an offer but I had a great time anyway. At one point I had to deliver a Shakespeare monologue as if I was a stand-up comedian. Really lovely being surrounded by passionate people, they worked very hard to make it feel like we were all on the same team.

deadass. so fucking fun. i will literally never win an oscar (nor do i have a desire to) but the emotion! the adrenalin! the drama! fake a tear, make a profound political statement, practise your shocked face, above all - thank the academy

It's kind of like dreaming onto other people. About to go to rehearsal for my new one. Thrilling and embarrassing (in a good way)

It lends a reflective and wistful tone to written communications imo…

My dad teases me about how when I was a little kid, my favorite thing to do when I was on the landline phone with somebody—be it a relative or one of my best friends—was to breathlessly describe the things that were in my bedroom so that they could have a mental picture of everything I loved and chose to surround myself with, and where I sat at that moment in time. Perfectly Imperfect reminds me of that so thanks for always listening and for sharing with me too 💌
