Whenever I can I‘ll join a new site early. Even if I don’t go back to it, there is usually a buzzy community feeling right at the start where everyone is trying to figure it out, find some use for it, meet strangers. It feels like the only time when the users have agency over the site, before it gets too smart or gets boring.
The first years of DailyBooth, Peach, Twitter, TikTok, Bebo, Tumblr, all had a janky charm. Hope this site stays unslick and buggy.
