fake glasses
in the fifth (iirc?) grade i thought i would look way cuter if i wore glasses. to my dismay, i passed my eye test. but eventually my dream came true: i got fake glasses at claire’s. so then tried to convince everyone i got glasses. i don’t remember how long i kept it up for but i think it was like only a week or so years later in college i did have to get real glasses so maybe i actually manifested it

omg i did this too!! i was drooling over the fake glasses this baby was wearing at a party we hosted and the parents gave it to me and i would wear them all the time 😭😭😭 i fake failed an eye exam in kindergarten and then when the doctor gave me glasses w no prescription to try on i was like wow this is so much better!!

Wear glasses to focus in class
sometimes when i don’t wear my glasses in class i get tempted to watch netflix but when i wear them the netflix gets reflected in the lenses so my prof can see that im ignoring them and watching lisa vanderpump yell at a jersey shore look alike instead
thus………………….. glasses increase focus !!

Prescription sunnies
I still feel like I don’t need to always wear my glasses, but I did in fact fail my visual test for my drivers license renewal. I splurged on a pair of prescription sunglasses and I’ll never go back.
Only downside with these is that you can see my eyes and I can’t pretend to be mysterious.

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WORKER’S DAY!!!! i love having a union, i love being a union steward and getting to support my unit. when my union won its contract, i got a pay bump, better benefits, and increased protection as a worker. 🥳 unions help address racial and gender pay gaps, issues workplaces impose on families and those having kids, addressing unsafe conditions, plus things like better health insurance, wages and overtime, weingarten rights to representation, and more!!! if you don’t have a union but are thinking about forming one, check out AFL-CIO’s page (linked) or Emergency Workplace Organizing Committee. there’s always more power in a union!! ✊🥖🌹
