Even the cheap ones work well. We called them long johns idk if that is a regional thing though haha

whalebutt i have two shirts and some leggings that i have been using for around 3 years they are really good (and they were the lightest ones and under some sweaters and pants is enough for a chilly day, sometimes i can go coat less/light coat with it)

Wearing long johns under your regular clothes

Now I can run around and play without being a little bitch about the cold. Plus I get to feel like I’m wearing pjs at work. I love the uniqlo heattech stuff but if anyone on this app has a rec for something that isnt as clingy to what I’m wearing over it…help a girl out

32 degrees heat layers

I’ve heard good things about Uniqlo heat tech layers too but I bought these at Costco (pants and shirts—they’re on sale right now to be even cheaper) and they save me every winter!
They’re so lightweight you can put them under anything without looking bulky and if it’s really cold I’ll double them up (if it’s in the negatives or I’m going out into a snowstorm I put on fleece tights underneath that)!
Busted the pants out for the season when I walked my dog this morning because it was about 45 degrees and I wanted to wear lightweight pants… they run weirdly small though so BEWARE

Long underwear

I’m from the east coast, but I’ve lived in LA for 8 years and my body has completely acclimated to warm weather. Lately I’ve been obsessed with wearing long underwear when I’m in cold places.
