Nye alone (?)
I might be spending it alone in my room this year and i think i'm okay with that? pros: - cosy night in (imagine Jennifer Garner in 13 going on 30 with the face mask and all) + booze - i can get up the next day without a hangover and work on my film - do all the things I really wanna do: visionboard, ins & outs, journaling, ... - dance party, cinema all that at home - don't have to find a way to get home cons: - fomo I guess of other ppl being out and partying / the "experience" - dancing out all night - not kissing someone when the clock hits 0:00 sharing this feels stupid but also, not. like am I the only one? can't be right?

SSTAY IN!!! i support you!!! you're not alone. my gf birthday is december 31 so we use it as an excuse to do anything we want on NYE, which usually involves getting dinner then staying in and hanging all night and not even making it to midnight lol

i tried it for the first time this year and did it more than once 🥹💛 it’s liberating it’s brave it’s fun it’s a confidence booster it’s just u and the music you get to meet and hang with new people without feeling like u have to spend all night with them you enter and you leave whenever you want It’s awesome

honestly wild to see the former party girl in me just withering at the thought of having to be social instead of reading in the corner (god that’s so awful to say but my 14 year old self would feel good about it 🤢) i contain multitudes i guess where i was a precocious tween, a party animal of my 18-21 years and then now “post” pandemic i feel so quiet and in my head
