I am personally not big on DIY coding and after going through what felt like torture with Wix, Squarespace, and Wordpress I tried Google Sites (which is free) and I found it to be the easiest way to create a simple and functional website that didnāt feel over-designed. Itās definitely wonāt deliver a super slick or flashy aesthetic but thatās what I was going for anyways.
No coding involved. And it allows you to publish one page for free (with a watermark though) soā¦ it has many basic fonts and itās pretty much drag and drop with cool widgets that I find tougher to code.
Iāve used Cargo site and all that back in my design school daysā¦ and as much as I love Cargoā¦ the learning curve for readymag is much more accessible for everyone who wants to create a website. No hassle of adding some code here and there if youāre creating something simply for fun.
by far the easiest free "site" builder (especially if you're already in the notion ecosystem at all.) pretty sure they have domain forwarding as well if you want a custom one, and there's no shortage of examples of how to customize a notion page available on youtube and stuff if you want it to look a little more jazzy than the stock experience which is pretty minimalist
Try Square Space (or something similar, but Wix is boycotted). Youāll have to research the blog functionality, though. Wordpress probably is still the queen of blogging platforms but thatās more complicated. mmm.page is a really fun website option but probably not for blogging
to me this is one of lifeās most simple joys - especially during the winter. The combination of not driving + the heat from the pie keeping your legs warm + direct pizza fumes provides a precious and rare sensory experience
Not to beat a dead horse but google has now foisted integration of itās Gemini AI into basic gmail / drive functionality. Donāt offload your critical faculties to a super computer. Write that email. Use your brain. Every time you feed this thing it will get ābetterā and you are training it to replace you.
