"the internet, or Sofia Coppola films, or Lana songs, or the multitude of fallen girl, women, tropes can cause a dissociative kind of excitement in living through your own degradation (????)"
For me, it would be the idea that the home is meant to be your safe space & things happening to threaten that frightens everyone. We don't like the idea that our safety can be compromised; especially by something like the occult or ghostly which we can't understand.
Why do companies add milk & eggs to things that don't need it!? They've changed the recipe of my favorite salad dressing to include egg protein (for why idk) so now I've had to buy the fat free version. I use this dressing to make my favorite comfort/safe food. I'm so worried that the fat free recipe will not taste the same or that they'll add egg to that one too. It sounds dramatic but my neurodivergent brain is not coping well with the idea of never being able to have this meal again. Why tf does Italian dressing need egg in it anyways????
Being vegan in a non-vegan world is so frustrating.
Currently reading:
1. The Phoenix Empress - K. Arsenault Rivera. This is a re-read since I'm travelling & starting new books stresses me out when I travel. I love this series - you can't beat a lengthy fantasy/sapphic combo.
2. Welcome to Pawnee - Jim O'Heir. Not very far into this one yet but Parks & Rec is one of my favorite TV shows & to get an inside look into Pawnee & the production is interesting. It's like I'm meeting the characters & visiting Pawnee again for the first time.
