Lots of fun, weirdly the first time I read a piece of classic literature where a knight literally slays a dragon.

first big book I read as a kid, felt amazing to finish 500 pages and literally only read about the ups and downs of being friends with a dragon

It's an easy read and captivating retelling of the Arthur / excalibur / knights story, which I do not know well enough to compare to this but I believe this one has way more magic in it and it way way more women centric. It's from the perspective of Guinevere and has queer couples in it and complex romance plots. I'm attached to some of the characters and deeply disappointed by the lack of fanfiction I can consume about this series.

Pretty fun to see all of the earlier Arthurian legends consolidated in a single work. Loved the not-quite-history not-quite-novel not-quite-epic-poem format of it. Simply amazing 15th century prison fanfiction.

This is one of my childhood films, it’s known in France and I don’t know if it’s been exported a lot but I love it !
It’s by Jacques Demy, THE French musical film director, and tells the story of donkey skin (based on a Grimm story I believe).
The costumes ! The Colors ! The songs ! Catherine Deneuve ! Random people with blue skin ! It’s all good
It all really creates a very whimsical fairy tale atmosphere that’s PERFECT
Anyway watch it with subtitles, I’m guessing dubbed musicals are really bad
Here is the trailer

Not at all like a lot of « sensationalist » documentaries about space exploration, this is on the slower side, but it’s SO worth it !! It gets almost trippy at times, and some of the shots are so beautiful…
Being an astronaut in the 70s looks so fun !!
Also the Brian Eno soundtrack in this is INCREDIBLE.
Just watch it, it’s really good, AND it’s free on youtube (linked here)
