There is something so therapeutic to making a good bed. Nothing has to be perfect, blankets can be wrinkled and stuffed animal from the past can be stacked to make room. one of my biggest struggles/stresses is keeping my room clean but making the bed makes a huge difference!! it’s usually the first thing i do when tackling my depression room. mismatched blankets and funky sheets are big pluses in my book as well!! i think my first new year resolution will be trying to make my bed everything morning when i get up so please wish me luck pi.fyi nation!!

Along with keeping a water carafe next to your bed and linen spray, making your bed every morning is one of the most effective and underestimated things for maintaining good sleep hygiene, which is so important! I will never understand people who don't make their bed because it's just going to become unmade again (it took years of patient positive reinforcement training to get my boyfriend to stop being like this.) Making your bed as soon as you get up is not only empowering and gets your day off to a productive start— look, you've only been awake for five minutes and you've already accomplished something! — but evening you will be grateful to morning you for allowing you the luxurious experience of slipping into a properly made bed every night.

Something about alt country makes me feel so very autumnal! Had a MJ Lenderman summer and now i’m fading into a Wednesday fall. My partner got me some art Karly Hartzman made for my birthday this month and I’ve never felt more loved!! Times have been tough these days but this band/genre has been keeping me going for a while. Country music is chicken soup for my southern soul :-)

So first off, Demon Copperhead is a book and not a musical artist!! I found it recommended on here so i immediately bought it on thrift books and have been reading it ever since! i have like 100 pages left so i still have a ways to go but i love it so much! lots of heart and very Appalachian. I‘ve listened to a bunch of Waxahatchee recently and became obsesse!! gonna go see her on tour with Wilco soon! I Looked Out, by Greg Freeman is a phenomenal album that’s very country alt, very captivating, and very unique!! plus it’s his only album so we have a lot to look forward towards:-)
