This was perfect on all levels, dialogues and especially the monologues I can't even begin to describe how emotionally invested I was while watching, cried 5 times. I haven't seen Nocturnal Animals but I have to watch it next to see this kind of cinematography from Tom Ford again. The changes in saturation were timed in such a way that you just felt the scenes. Sad gays, the best genre of people ngl.

brilliant. beautiful and funny and heartwrenching and silly and all around fantastic. the more i think about this movie the more i love it. tells an unconventional tale of self-confidence, self-sabotage, regret and jealousy, etc etc the ending was a bit silly but i can look past it lol. what a fantastic cast and fantastic production. they frame things throughout as if it were to look like a stage production only for that to be the eventual main plot point. one of my favorite scenes (if not films) of the year

I was at the premiere of this at Sundance 2024 and it was 1) probably the best movie I saw at the fest. 2) one that stuck with me all year long despite (at the time) only watching it once. Watched it again last night and still love it.

โจI really enjoyed Jacques Audiards A Prophet, which is about life in prison also Claire Denis' Beau Travail it was probably one of the most aesthetically pleasing movies I've seen and I highly recommend Lukas Dhonts Close, I can't even describe how devastating this film was, it's a Belgian film but they speak french so I'd say it counts, it's a must watch imoo.
