idk what i can say to hype this up other than its so good. my friend put me on this one recently and i’m so sad i wasn’t on top of it earlier. the disco remix of “the afterparty” is insanely good. the album overall has an intimate sort of nostalgia while still being an ambitious work that feels complete.

This is the best album I’ve heard bar none. First listen every track took me by surprise and after finishing I felt like nothing else compared.
For a first big project from an artist this feels total and complete and beyond polished for what I would have expected.

thank you yazz for reminding of this album… i’ve been meaning to listen to it ever since i heard “IWR” on the very last episode of my friend’s college radio show, more than two years ago. now, i am laying on my floor, blissfully stoned, mouth agape in candle-lit darkness absolutely in awe of this masterpiece of music.
every single song feels so intimate, each sound, each word amplified and layered on top of the other, like cake, a sonic confection that makes your heart smile a lot (and your teeth hurt a little) with every bite you take. this album tries to do a lot, and in doing so, becomes irreplaceable. i can’t wait to see what they do next.
(also “IWR” is still one of the best songs literally ever!!!! yup)

my friend performed “Beaches” last night at a show and ofc it was amazing and now I’m fully back into this album. so beautiful, fun, and perfect to just throw on, listen on repeat!
