Looking back through your old tumblr
I deleted mine years ago but I realized bits and pieces of it are archived on the Wayback Machine so I’ve been taking posts and adding them to are.na channels for different eras. Anyway why was I posting like this girl you’re 15 go do your homework PLEASE!!! 😭

We had a group Tumblr called "Music War" that was an extension of an IRL drinking game (TL;DR -- you'd come home drunk from a night out and put on some rando disc on the stereo back at yours and have people guess what you were playing, which -- they were housed, too -- everyone always got wrong). I love seeing what we were thinking about musically more than a decade ago -- TBH it's not that different from today, although I was personally way over-indexed on Ryan Adams, I think I musta been sad: https://www.tumblr.com/musicwar

They rekindle a sense of magic for the world. Sometimes I wonder if blogs like this still have an active owner or if they queued so many posts back then that it can last all the way to 2025.

Refreshing & reblogging (on tumblr)
Much like this wonderful platform, tumblr.com is where I go to get my fix of ~old internet~ ; reminiscent of the time before everything we did online was oversaturated with branding and optics.
I’ve had my blog since 2012 and have maintained it closely since. It continues to be my one true digital sanctuary :)

Never changing
My dad teases me about how when I was a little kid, my favorite thing to do when I was on the landline phone with somebody—be it a relative or one of my best friends—was to breathlessly describe the things that were in my bedroom so that they could have a mental picture of everything I loved and chose to surround myself with, and where I sat at that moment in time. Perfectly Imperfect reminds me of that so thanks for always listening and for sharing with me too 💌
