reminds me of simpler days doin hoodrat shit w my friends
this album is packed full of samples and splices of recordings of life and it creates this very dense and layered tapestry of the sounds of life of a young british-nigerian in south london. sometimes it feels like he pushes a bit too far but overall a really good project.
Ive been playing this album on repeat in my store. I like to think it says, “you know id rather be blasting hip hop, but I want both your grandma AND hip little brother to come in”.

god sometimes, in the moment, it sucks. but 99.99% of the time i feel so much better after the fact. inspired by me having to recently take my own advice i give to my students about how to get more comfortable being uncomfortable.
nothing better than knowing what makes you feel and look good and sticking to it. i know an all black fit or big sweater-skirt-with-tights combo hate to see me comin 😗
