They are ugly and trendy and granola as hell but once you feel those cloud soles, there’s simply no way back. I run in them, I travel in them, I buy groceries in them - you are going to have to remove them from my dead body I’m afraid.

I’d never bought a nice pair of athleisure shoes but a couple years ago I bought some Hokas and damn. I walk a lot so it’s pretty game changing. Feels like I’m walking on a cloud. I wore my last pair almost everyday for 2 years until they fell apart. Now I got some new ones with the gore tex.

Hoka gaviota 4

Love these shoes. I got into walking/running back in September for health and these shoes have travelled with me everywhere. Very comfortable.

my asics (Gel nimbus) running shoes

When I tell you that my running shoes are my multi-purpose *everything* shoe I mean it. These shoes are my farmers-market-prowling, bar-stomping, book-store-perusing, 3-mile-running, tourist-town-walking, park-people-watching, trail-shuffling shoes.
(and the cycle begins again because I just bought another pair)
